On guests...
So my dad and step mom are visiting, and I give them my room because it's got the queen, my spare room has a full.

I come upstairs, and not only is half the sink filled with their toiletry, but she's taken half my closet for their clothes!

I mean, when I said, sure you can use the ironing board, I didn't expect the whole closet...

Sigh.

Oh my dear, you know that I know your pain. I'm so, so sorry.

I do, yes. I went and looked for that post of yours and was going to comment, but it got long enough I just put it in my own journal instead.

Sometimes -- well most of the time -- I seriously wonder what my dad sees in this lady, because this is just typical (she's more of a control freak than I am, or my mom is, it's just nutty).

Re:

Yuck. How long are they staying?

And how long has your dad been with control freak lady? And can you talk to him about her taking over your closet?

Bleh, bleh, bleh.

Control Freaky Step Mom

Dad's been with step mom since 93 or so; I could talk with him about it but it's not really worth it; they're here until Friday am, and then back next friday until Monday am.

And I understand the need for closet space -- they're going to this dancing conference in indiana for the week, and so I understand the need, just wish I'd been asked first, is all. I wouldn't have said no, just moved some of my stuff around for 'em.

And oooh the stories I could tell about CFL; I almost smacked her silly while she was directing my sister and I for the preparations for the wedding. I think a lot of her freakishness has to do with the fact that she's never had kids, and thus never mellowed in that way kids make you do.

But any lady who, knowing the only reason I was coming up from college for spring break to interview, kept insisting from the background as I was talking to my dad: "Tell her to bring her resumes!" is just bizarre and not in a good way. I mean, duh.

And that's not even mentioning when she'd send us a copy of their iteneraries for trips (which is understandable), with our names hilighted for who got what copy (freaky).

Whew, can you tell she just pushes my buttons? :)

Re: Control Freaky Step Mom

Normally I'd say, push buttons back, but then
with parents when you're a grown-up (we are grown-ups, aren't we *sigh*) that just seems silly. I hope they don't drive you batty & I'll by you a nice stone sour (that is one of your prefered drinks, no?) on Saturday.

xoxo
