Book update
I finished The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot yesterday. It was a cute book, and when it ended I ran down to see if the local library had the second book. I mean, granted, it's a young adult book, so it's not exactly heavy on the subject matter, but it was fun, but it looks like it's going to be strung out over 3 more books, ugh.

So now I'm back to reading Downbelow Station by C. J. Cherryh.

Current Mood: neck ache-y

I've only read a little of C.J. Cherryh's stuff. What do you think of her in general?

Read any Elizabeth Haydon?

C. J. Cherryh

I like her -- but she's not for everyone. She's more of a hard core sci fi writer.

I've never read any Elizabeth Haydon, no. raven might have, though. What do you recommend by her?

She's brand new. They've just released the third book in her very first trilogy. The first book is Rhapsody, which uses music as a system of magic.

I started reading Rhapsody, but it's now somewhere in the Giant Book Glacier occupying the living room.

I'm kinda lukewarm on Cherryh.

You have a Giant Book Glacier?

Oooh.

Mine's like a smaller collection of foothills...

:)

Perhaps Powell's really isn't the City of Books after all. :)

well, yah...

but she's hard sci fi, so I figured that's how it went. :)
