My car got broken into yesterday, which is more than a little annoying. I live in a pretty good neighborhood but had to park my car on the main street due to construction being done on my street. When I walked the dog, I noticed that my passenger's window was broken, and it seems that all they took off with was an old video ipod and my gps HOLDER. I get to replace a window just so some schmoe could get what's probably (now) a $100 ipod. What's more annoying is that nothing's open on Sunday so I have to drive it to the autobody shop tomorrow - BEFORE my 7:50 am dentist appointment.
So I think I've decided to stay in this apartment one more month - I was going apartment shopping this week but I ended up pretty much incapacitated with sinus headaches due to the change inpressure from the storm fronts. That's something I forgot I didn't like about Chicago; I guess it's time to go back to the Dr and get more drugs to get the sinusitis under control.
On the fun side, April was in town this past week, and we had quite a bit of fun. We hung out with the boys of summer, and a Betty, which is always fun. Then we did the Chicago Architecture Foundation river cruise, and checked out an art fair in the Fidelity square, and had tea at the Drake. Monday was a day of recovering as we were both pretty sun-exposed. On Tuesday we went to the Shedd Aquarium (fun!), saw a man with a flounder, and also checked out Second City. We were early, which is good because the show was sold out (on a Tuesday!), so we went next door to Adobe Grill and had drinks, and chatted up a nice bartender named Jeremy. Good times.
I now know that the trick is just to treat all men like they are Joe Speaker or the Bracelet.
Back to work tomorrow, and the body shop, and the dentist. Don't you wish you were me?
