1. The Bahamas
2. Vegas, baby
"I haven't laughed so hard at a computer screen since you started hanging around" - highest compliment given to me in a long time, and the fact that it's from one of my favorite people makes it all that much sweeter. Happy bday, too.
I didn't go to the casino at all this weekend, which turned out to be a really nice thing, and made my weekend relaxing.
I played in the WWdN (in exile) tournament on pokerstars, and even got mentioned (as the Poker Princess) in Wil's live writeup. Plus, I got to knock out one of my best friends with a monster suckout on the river. (My favorite line there? doubleas [observer] said, "they won't fold to each other"
I was pretty much in a cranky mood, but thanks to some fine people, I went to bed in a better mood.
Saturday was off to a noon appointment, then to lunch with the girls, and then to buy four pairs of shoes. So cute. And I still want to buy three more pairs; I am such a girl.
Hung out, played some poker, and watched the world series, and went to bed way too late, as usual.
Sunday, I dragged my butt to church and was conscripted to sing Alto. It's a crime against nature to make a soprano I (high soprano for those who aren't music geeks) to sing alto. Oh the humanity. Came home, dorked around for a little bit, and then managed to knock myself out in a half hour in the blogger tourney. Sorry about that last longer, BG - you totally should have picked April.
To be fair, I did tell BG that I had to be somewhere at 4:30, so would be playing aggressive in the tourney - I was either going to chip up enough to be blinded off, or I was going out early. My draw got there, but so did my opponent's flush draw. Sad.
Hung out with the boys a little more, and watched the amazing ending to the world series. Then went to bed way too late, as usual.
One thing I did learn from this weekend - I'm absolutely blessed with the quality AND quantity of friends I have in my life. I love all yooooouz.
Days until Austin: 4!!
