Friday, we went to see Shrek which was surprisingly good. I laughed SO hard during it; though it's not something I would take the under 8 crowd to see. It does, however, have an incredible Kung Fu scene which kicks much boo-TAY.
Saturday I got up way too early to be in Elmhurst at 8:30 am for a follow up session for the weekeend I went to a couple weeks agao. I was glad I went, even if it was at the crack of dawn (8:30 on a Saturday is the crack of dawn for me). I got home and fell asleep, not even staying up to watch Mark Grace play at Wrigley one more time, though I made a valiant attempt to do such.
I woke up a bit later than I intended, and headed off to the poker tournament at Mark's. It was good fun, got to see a lot of people and hung out. I got 12th place out of 18, but there was only a few minutes of drop time between 7th and 12 place, so I did much better than it sounds.
I was up early again on Sunday to go to church, and then got introduced to someof the 'Young Adults' there (in this case, Young Adults meaning 18-35ish), who were having a picnic after church. Since we weren't seeing a movie Sunday (as the boys were having a gaming fest), I went and had fun, and met some new people. I headed home about 2ish, and crashed again for a nap -- I wonder if I'm coming down with something; I've been absolutely exhausted lately. :(
I pretty much didn't do a whole lot on Sunday night, still being tired. I did open the package that came for me from Kaplan for the GRE prep course, as my first class was the next day and found out that yow, there was a 2 hour prep test to take. Eek.
I was too tired to take it then, though, so I went to bed early (yes, after having a nap earlier as well), and decided to tackle it during the day Monday.
...which meant I spent about two hours at work doing this test instead of working, but hey. I realized again how much I like algebra problems, and how much I hate, with the force of a thousand yellow suns, analogies.
