Weekend gaming!

Last Sunday was my first venture into the monthly gaming days that are held by a friend of zen_raven's. I must say I had much more fun than I thought, and got to play a slew of new games that I had never played before. In fact, I don't think I played one game that I had played once before.

The list, and my thoughts:
New England - Fun game, and I got to hoard pilgrims, and how can you go wrong with that?
Amun Re - I really liked this game, and think it'd be fun to pay with my other gaming geek friends. I mean, who wouldn't like making farmers and being Pharoah?
Magna Grecia - Not too bad, but a little odd. Lots of building and strategy.
Burn Rate - Probably the most fun of the four, but with the most poorly written directions. But it's a parody of the dot-com business, and I'm almost tempted to buy this game for myself -- and that's saying something!

As for the rest of the weekend, it was too frikken cold to do anything with the deck, so I rearranged my office, only breaking the desk 3 times (and putting it back together 4 times). I am the queen of home improvements lately, I tell you what.

And my essential oils are whining at me to make them into bath salts this week...

  • Tired.

Being in the office at 8:30 am means getting up at 5 because I hate traffic and traffic starts at 6:30. Wah. But I did get more Caribou. YOMS.

  • Making orthodontia better

    + ...I have about 4 hours before I can't eat anything that isn't soft...

  • For Lori.

I hate you pollen. HATE YOU.
