Anyone know of a decent "kitchen timer" for the computer and/or palm pilot? I just want something that I can set for 5, 10, 15 min, etc and have it count down and alarm when it's done. Nothin' fancy.

palm thing

I use diddlebug for that type of thing. For one, it's free. You can set an absolute time as well as relative time (10, 30, 60).

It also has a little screen you can write and doodle on, which you may not want but check it out for the timer functions. I do things like write 'Take medicine' and then set the timer for 6 hours or whatever.

I use 2.15. I know there are more current versions out there and one day I will get around to upgrading.

Hope all is well!

diddlebug is GREAT! this is exactly what I need.

Things are going good, for the most part -- I got a good review at work, which makes me happy. And, now I go to get more caffeine to keep me awake -- another good thing.

I hope things are good for you as well.

Re: for unix...

yes, but I don't have a unix machine. I'm no longer a front line tech geek, if I ever was one :)
