Christmas Day
Today was a pretty good day, all things considered. I only burnt one thing, and it wasn't even food; a couple of hot pads got singed in the course of making dinner.

Most everything was made yesterday while my sister was at work -- the mashed potatoes were mostly boiled, mom and I made the deviled eggs and the stuffing for the cornish game hens. All that was left to do was to broil the hens, mash the potatoes, and toss the bread mix in the bread maker. And, as we almost forgot, steam the corn and asparagus.

vill came over before she had to go to work, and brought the PAH, which is verra good (I had another slice of it before I wrote this, actually)! My dad and stepmom called, along with most of the rest of the free world.

Of course, at this time, the dogs managed to let themselves out of their fenced in area (the current theory is that Wrigley did this, because he's the big instigator), and joined us for dinner.

After supper, we sent vill off with some of the chocolate chip cookies, and I proceeded to nap, and took Wrigley with me for a while. Claire and my mom later grabbed the dogs and took them for a walk while I was crashed out.

After I got up, Claire and I took Wrigley and Cogan to the dog park, to see if we could get Wrigley to go swimming. He managed to fall in the water, and startle himself, swim back to the bank and trot off as far away from the river as he could go. He's just not good at all offleash, I'm afraid. Nearly gave me a heart attack, too!

We all piled back into the car (Wrigley is at least better behaved than Cogan in the car, which is probably the only thing he's better at), and headed home to find out what time movies were playing.

We decided to go see Catch me if you can, and except for the whiny child in the theater (who brings a 2 year old to that movie on Christmas anyway?), it was an excellent movie. I highly recommend it; Tom Hanks and Leonardo are really very good in this.

And now we're back, the dogs are asleep, and I'm writing this on my pilot, as my dial up connection is terrible -- I get 21.6k if I'm lucky; 9600 baud if I'm not. I'm so spoiled by my cable modem at home.

Hee! I should have packed a separate bag for you :)

My sister has a bunch left, I'm sure she'd love to give some more up, if you ask ;)
