Movie Fever
I just found out last night that White Oleander is being made into a movie. I've got my Oct. 11th night booked! Or maybe early afternoon, as there are other festivities for that night planned.

Movies that are out now that I must go see:
  • The Good Girl

  • Igby Goes Down

  • The Importance of Being Ernest

  • My Big Fat Greek Wedding

  • One Hour Photo

  • Road to Perdition

  • Signs

  • The Sum of all Fears

Movies I kind of want to go see:
  • Blood Work

  • City by the Sea

  • The Four Feathers

  • Full Frontal

  • Possession

  • Scooby-Doo

  • Simone

  • Trapped

Movies that are opening soon that I want to see (in opening date order):
  • Sweet Home Alabama

  • 8 Women

  • Moonlight Mile

  • Just a Kiss

  • Red Dragon (maaaybe)

  • Welcome to Collinwood (maybe)

  • Tuck Everlasting (must read the book first)

  • White Oleander (must must must see!)

  • Knockaround Guys (Vin and Seth, need I say more?)

  • Abandon

  • Auto Focus (Greg Kinnear is supposed to be great in this)

  • Harry Potter, duh
  • Phone Booth
  • Die Another Day (I'm a sucker for Pierce's Bond)

brian & i saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding on friday night. it was SO GOOD, we both loved it. i've heard nothing but good things about that movie anyway, and i'd highly recommend it. AND we are going to see Sweet Home Alabama next tuesday on our anniversary! yay! i think reese witherspoon is just about the cutest thing that ever lived, ever. and white oleander...don't get me started. i opened that book again today after deciding that i'd read it again before seeing the movie, and i can barely even COMPREHEND all the beauty. what an amazingly-written book.

Thanks! I might have to drag my mom to go see it; I know she's been interested in watching it, but I don't know if she's made it there yet or not :)

Wow... stolen user icons.. monkeyskirt has the same icon as you.

Now, now, don't go thinking I stole them from her; we both got them from the lovely honeyed at her icon site here.

& if you had asked Petia about the icon before coming over here and sniping at Heather, you would have known that neither of them "stole" their icons from anyone. they have both been using my icons for months; this just happens to be the first time that they've liked the same ones.

you should really do your research before coming into someone else's journal and giving them a guilt trip. this was completely rude and unnecessary.

Re: i hate to be a party pooper, but...

If it were anyone other than Reese Witherspoon playing the role, then yeah, I'd probably say 'bah'. But she made a ditzy sorority girl have a soul and be entertaining; I have hopes about her doing the same here.

lots of fun movies. but if i can give a tiny suggestion. don't go to see signs because it's really disapointing for me. Of course, i was expecting a scary movie so maybe that was my mistake. but it's was reallly disapointing for me.

and i'm all for with sweet home abalama. i've fallen inlove with reese since she did legally blonde. i can't wait to see it. even thought my girlfriends look at me quite strangely when i say that. I may be a film junkie after all (people say that quite a lot lately . Going to see a movie every 2 weeks is not a lot right?)

I hate scary scary horror movies; I like suspense movies, which I hear signs is.

And no, I don't think one movie every two weeks is a lot! I used to see one or two movies per week, though I've gotten out of that habit, since I got the dog -- I can't go right after work on friday.

Re:

well, i used to go a lot to the movies this summer. mainly because it's one of the few things enjoyable i had find to occupy myself when i wasn't working (yay for 40 hours weeks)

Only see Scooby Doo, if you like Cheesey movies. I really want to see One Hour Photo. I heard it was good. Signs was pretty good. A lot of jumpy parts. Sweet Home Alabama is good if you like cheesy romance movies, I DO! SO I liked it a lot :)
