Things I'd rather be doing instead of working: sleeping walking… - Princess

Things I'd rather be doing instead of working:

  • sleeping

  • walking my dog

  • making all my friends read The Lovely Bones

  • watching the US open

  • napping

  • picking up Red Rabbit from the library and hoping it's better than Rainbow Six

  • checking out my gold box (which currently holds a glider rocker, a swing stand, some flat panel speakers which look interesting, more speakers, and a handheld bird hunting game?)

  • visiting Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Baltimore, LA, San Diego, Irvine

  • sleeping

  • calling up friends and singing the story window song to them

  • writing in my sister's and zarobi's circle journals

  • chatting on AIM

  • curling up with a mocha and a good movie

  • napping

Things that even work is better than:

  • dishes

  • laundry

  • fixing the deck

  • pre treating the deck for staining

  • staining the deck

  • cleaning the cat box

Did I mention that I'd rather be sleeping?

Current Mood: tired tired

I'll come clean your catbox to get out of compiling this sales report. Which gives you a clue how much I want to be *here* today....

I will *so* take you up on that!

I can make pretty pictures and charts and sneak "I KICK BOOTAY" in the report just to see if they actually read it!

You obviously have someone you want to VISIT in Irvine -- no one goes there "just to visit". :)

And I got the Bones book for the beach weekend coming up -- all because YOU recommended it! (Well, that and because I've been wanting to read it, but I was going to wait for paperback)

Oh, yes -- swoobysnacks is in Irvine. So maybe a visit to SD, with a side trip to irvine, or the like.

Just like my visit to LA would have to have a side trip to bakersfield, or give you and the god of biscuits an excuse to come down to LA :)

Oh! And let me know what you think of the book. IT's kind of odd, but engrossing.

making all my friends read The Lovely Bones

Read it, enjoyed it very much. Quite sad and sweet. I had a teacher that brainwashed me into looking for symbolism in everything, though. Can't help it now.

Wasn't it lovely? I imagine there is quite a bit of symbolism in the book, but I liked being able to read it without delving deeply into it.

I might choose this as the book club book, and then delve into it more upon a re-read.
