I have a dilemma...
I checked out a bunch of Doulas Preston / Lincoln Child novels 3 weeks ago (like 6 or so). I've gotten through 4 already, and went to the library's online catalog to reserve some other books of note, when I realized that one of the last two was due yesterday (as was the one I finished today, but that point is moot, since I could renew that one). I should have renewed them a week or so ago, because no one had them on reserve, but I didn't. so now someone has them on reserve, and if I return the book, it'll be three weeks before I get it back in my hands.

(note: I haven't started the overdue book yet.)

So, do I:

return the book, since someone's waiting for it, and I can read other books in the meantime
keep it -- I can finish it in two days at the most, and the fine's only $0.10/day, and then I won't have to pick up from where I left off

You left out: "go purchase your own copy of the book"... which is what i'd do. :)

Hm, except for the fact that I don't know that it's going to be good enough to want to purchase :)

IF it would really only take you two days to finish it, finish it. Otherwise, return it and borrow it later.
I wasn't sure which answer to select in the poll. So it is with my life.

It should only take two days, three at the most. If I'm not done by the end of the 3rd day, I'm returning it :)

Luckily, I read fast
