primary butterflies

from fridayfive

The ones from had to do with your ancestory, which my family knows pretty much nothing about, making the whole set of questions a moot point.

And yes, I know it's Monday, deal with it.

1. This has been another summer of major blockbuster movies, filled with special effects and big name stars. Which major summer movie has impressed you the most? Why? It's kind of a tie between The Bourne Identity and Minority Report. The Bourne Identity was great to see Matt Damon as an awesome Def Action Hero, while Minority Report kept me on the edge of my seat. Plus, Tom Cruise finally went back to the short hair.

2. What summer movie has been a major disappointment for you? Why? Hands down, I'd have to say Episode II. The dialogue just majorly sucked, and that's putting it mildly.

3. What do you like most in a summer movie? Action? Adventure? Special effects? Story? Performances? Costumes? All of the above, or something else? Why? I don't really think a summer movie needs to be different than any other movie, but what kind of film I like depends on my mood. I like action films (c.f. Bourne and Minority), and I like stories and performances (I loved About a Boy).

4. How many movies have you seen this summer? Did you see any of the movies more than once? If so, why? 6: About a Boy, Spiderman, Episode II, The Bourne Identity, Minority Report, Lilo and Stitch. I didn't see any of them more than once, because there are a ton of other movies I still need to see, and I should spend my time on something new. Though, if I was going to see any of them again, it'd be The Bourne Identity

5. We still have a few weeks left to the 2002 summer movie season. What soon-to-be-released movies are you looking forward to seeing? Why? The one I'm most looking forward to is XXX. As for why, I have two words for you: Vin Diesel. Hubba Hubba.
Movies that were released this summer that I still want to see: Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (liked the book, was going to get people together for a chick flick night), Scooby Doo (maybe I'll wait until this comes out on video), The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (Jodie Foster always does good movies), Road to Perdition (I've heard good things about this), Signs (M. Night Shyamalan -- though unbreakable was merely okay).
Movies still to come out that I want to see: XXX, The Good Girl, Simone, Slap Her, She's French (maybe) (Piper Perabo), The Banger Sisters (Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn), Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama (Reese Witherspoon)

So, fixed the tank to bowl gasket problem with the toilet; water no longer gushes out of the tank when I flush it.

Instead, water drips from the bolts connecting the tank to the bowl. I guess I need to buy some washers for that, since the ones in the tank are ancient and redo the whole unscrewing the tank torture.

I am so never becoming a plumber.
