I woke up this morning with a killer headache, so I took the day off work. I'll probably go back to sleep in a bit, now that I've finished my mocha and bagel. I've dosed up on the antihistamines, the steroids (nasal ones, ha ha), and the Aleve. It's only mildly working.

I don't think it was because I was up late last night -- I had friends over to play games and hang out and have everyone meet the puppo. Who, of course, got so excited he peed on the floor when there were 10 of us here. Talk about missing the signs to go out. Luckily, I am armed with Nature's Miracle. I'm optimistic, though, because when it was just Mark, zen_raven who needs to post more, dangit and I, he was excellent and even let me know by sitting at the door and whimpering a bit that he needed to go out.

I'm exhausted. Work's been exhausting me lately, as I feel like everything is spiraling out of control, and I'm losing a handle on it. Is this because of my week off? Is it because I'm just starting to feel a lack of motivation to do anything? I'm not sure, but I need to get a handle on my job again; perhaps I'll go into work on Saturday and get my desk area cleaned up. That would be being productive, and help with the whole clean desk thing.

I think I'm going to write up the Friday Five, and then work on my circle journey for my sister; I'm in the mood to write, actually.

Friday Five (http://www.fridayfive.org)

1. How long have you had a weblog? I think I tried on and off with a regular HTML based one, but I don't think those count. I've had my LiveJournal since January 30, 2001

2. What was your first post about? Well, the very first post was about starting an online journal. The first post with real substance was about work, and how my boss had mysteriously left the company the night before.

3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one? None, really. I've happily made myself a permanent account, but find I still need more picture space!

4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else? Obviously, I use LiveJournal. I'm pretty happy with it, especially since I'm a paid user, but I was getting terribly frustrated when it was down every other day, it seemed, and almost moved to use something else.

5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place? I'm a lazy, lazy person. I'd prefer everything to be right here on LJ, so I don't have to go surf around for it -- it just pops up on my friends list. I don't tend to go searching around diaryland or the like.
