I told you he was a chewer...

So I met the trainer for the doggie class today, and also picked up this dog chew for the puppers, since it's not rawhide. The trainer mentioned that it's made out of cornstarch, so they are edible and if he's a really big chewer, it'll become an expensive habit.

Of course, Wrigley's a really big chewer. In about an hour of chewing, one of the knuckles has disappeared. another half hour later, and half of the stem is gone. But he's quiet, and occupied, because man, does he love that thing.

The trainer also suggested this rather indestructible galileo bone. He doesn't seem to be as interested in that, though -- probably because it doesn't have quite the feedback the cornstarch one does. The galileo bone's pretty hard and not "chewy", like the cornstarch bone and rawhide. I tried smearing it a bit with a very thin coating of peanut butter, but all Wrigs did was lick the thing, and not really chew it.

It's also pretty heavy, and not as easy to wield as the lighter booda bone.

But aaaah, the peace and quiet.
