Yesterday was wonderful. The other masseuse had a cancellation, so Jody and I both decided to get hour long massages; talk about a good decision! I've never had a "real" massage before, and she did all this deep massaging on my body and found several knots in my shoulders and neck -- I can tell, because my shoulders are still tender from where she worked on them.
After that, it was off to red robin for lunch, and then I went to the bookstore to purchase the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya sisterhood, while Jody went to drop of the alterations she did for a coworker. Hanging out in a bookstore is not a good idea if I like my checking account. I did pick up some postcards, which I might get sent out today to some people, and I also picked up a box of "Worst Case Scenerio" postcards too, because I couldn't resist.
We headed back to the house so I could send out the presentations I'd finished that morning for work, and then hung out for a while waiting for the boys to get home, wine bottle still unopened. Ash, Janine and Nate came over, dinner was procured, and we played Chez Geek for a bit. At this point, I'm starting to get tired, and when they started up The Fisher King, I made it about halfway through and then had to go fall asleep on air mattress in the sitting room.
The only draw back to the sitting room is that the sun comes up right into that room. So, at about eight o'clock I moved to the couch in the dark back room, read a bit, and went back to sleep. However, somewhere in between this, I managed to turn my neck and get a crick in it; I hate that.
Today, it's off to a BBQ, and I think I might go down and eat the rest of my leftover cake from Friday as my breakfast.
