okay my turn...
It's been around the block before, but we all know I'm slow on these things.

So -- ask me any question you like, and I'll answer it honestly. But in return, I get to ask you a question, and you'll answer it honestly.

More of a rhetorical question but so what.

Did you know that you remind me of (Kate...is that her name?) on Drew Carey?

What, exactly, is your profession and do you see yourself staying in said profession for over 5 yrs?

maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 23rd, 2002 02:16 pm (UTC) (Link)

I am a network princess!!!

Actually I am a network engineer. Basically, I run the network infrastructure -- your machine plugs into the jack in the wall, and I support everything behind that.

Cisco, Cabletron, you name it. I don't have my CCNA or CCIE though.

of course with the latest reorg, I'm doing more network architecty and project managery stuff. And I do see myself doing that in 5 years -- I want to be a technical manager.

Okay my turn:
What, other than the years spent with the life draining ex, is your biggest regret?

What, exactly, are you looking for in a romantic partner? How about a non-romantic partner?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 23rd, 2002 08:21 pm (UTC) (Link)

Hm, tough.

My romantic and non-romantic are almost similar really.

The must haves: intelligence, the ability to make me laugh, put up with me and my being a "freak in the most charming sense of the word". You can have a tough candy outside, but need to have a soft squishy center -- that you do actually care about things. You have interests and passions and your eyes light up when you talk about them and explain them to me. Not smoking around me -- not smoking at all if you're the romantic interest. Listening is one of your skills. For the romantic partner, you need to make my heart flutter when I look over at you, and put up with me putting my icy cold feet on your back and laughing as you jump a mile in the air. My romantic partner also doesn't do illegal substances; I'm not too keen on that in my friends, either.

The preferreds in the romantic section (but not required, as from my past dating history): 6 ft or taller, brown hair, blue eyes, good kisser, super hugger, surprise present getter, read the same type of books I do so I can borrow his, can cook, drinks occasionally, and will drive me home when I'm tipsy. I'm also a huge sucker for the unconsiously polite guys: those who open the door for you, but don't make a big deal out of it, who wait for you when dropping you off at your door until you get in, and who know how to put a coat on a lady.

I could go on, obviously.

Your question is: The date is April 23, 2013; what does your life look like?

For you, old man from scene 24: If you were no longer human, but an animal, which species would you be?

spooble sent me to ask you a question...

Where do you see your self in 5 years?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 09:20 am (UTC) (Link)

Hee! I lurve me the spoobie

Let's see: Hopefully, married to a wonderful man with a kid, and possibly another on the way. Enjoying my job and doing a decent amount of working from home. Having a decent house with a yard and a dog, and a picket fence. Maybe I'll be a realtor.

My question for you: If you could be queen for a day, what would be your first proclamation?
From: spooble Date: April 24th, 2002 09:15 am (UTC) (Link)
Who changed the paper towels in the dispenser in the bathroom?

No, seriously, what's something that you're tired of people asking you to try that you've tried before and don't like, even multiple times?

"No, you should try it, you'll love it!"
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 09:22 am (UTC) (Link)

who changed the paper towels in the bathroom? spoobie did! who me? Couldn't be! Then who?

I'd have to say the answer is definitely: Beer.

I just don't like it, it has an after taste that is eeew. And I've tried many times, and have actually found one or two that I like (leinie's berry weiss and the belgian raspberry lambics), but mostly, it's ew.

My question for you: Why are you so popular with the wimmenz?

if a woodchuck can chuck wood, what can a chipmonk do?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 09:24 am (UTC) (Link)

a wood chuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood

I think chimpmonks would have the ability to have really bad haircuts. Or look like christian slater in the name of the rose.

My question for you: if a man gets lost in the woods without a woman around, does he stop and ask for directions?
From: lisabelle Date: April 24th, 2002 09:25 am (UTC) (Link)

another spooble-lackey following orders

I'm full of questions. ;)

What's something you like to do by yourself, but would never do around others?

Why do you get out of bed each morning?

What's the meaning of your username?

What do you do for artistic/creative release?
From: lisabelle Date: April 24th, 2002 09:52 am (UTC) (Link)

Doncha hate it when you offer to answer A question, and one person totally blows it out of proportion?

Oh, gosh!

I really, really have a thing for the aflac commercials with the duck. The one where he's pretending to be an umbrella always cracks me up; though the one where he's flying outside the plane makes me laugh, too.

There was one (ameritrade? etrade?) on one of the superbowls with a guy in the er suffering from money out the butt, that was amusing, too.

Your question: what's the biggest change having a daughter has made on your life?
lim3light From: lim3light Date: April 24th, 2002 09:48 am (UTC) (Link)
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 10:53 am (UTC) (Link)
a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood!

your question: Why do people inisit on trying to memorize pi to the 200th decimal point?
meb21 From: meb21 Date: April 24th, 2002 09:55 am (UTC) (Link)
Hello, I was referred here by spooble :)

My question: where'd you get the duckie?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 10:59 am (UTC) (Link)

hee!

It's a picture of drew barrymore, actually -- I think I got it off IMDB. :)

Your question: She-Ra vs. Wonder Woman: who wins, and why?
(Deleted comment)
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 10:58 am (UTC) (Link)
I have a red birthmark on the very back of my head, usually covered by my hair. Of course, we all remember the fad of the eighties where it was COOL for women to shave the back of their heads? Ooops. Might have helped if I knew that beforehand.

Your question:
You're going to be stranded on a desert island for a year and a half. What three things do you take with you, knowing that the desert has no hope of ever getting an internet connection?
From: robny Date: April 24th, 2002 12:01 pm (UTC) (Link)
when you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 01:31 pm (UTC) (Link)
I wanted to be queen.

Or a doctor, I think. And I had an air guitar band, and we lip-synced to huey and the news. We had the coolest band name ever: Zone 4. Be afraid, yet jealous.

Your question: Do you have phobias, and if so, what are they?
seamusd From: seamusd Date: April 24th, 2002 12:59 pm (UTC) (Link)
I'm educated, conscientious, mature-minded and reliable. So why can't I find a job in this town?
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 24th, 2002 01:33 pm (UTC) (Link)
I think this is because all the people that are a few fries short of a happy meal hold the purse strings. It's why I'm desperately holding onto my job.

Your question: What would you do for a klondike bar? (or if you're not fond of klondike bars, what's your favorite candy?)
elliriel From: elliriel Date: April 24th, 2002 08:03 pm (UTC) (Link)
What do you do for a living? :)

I cannot tell a lie... Spooble sent me!!!
maigrey From: maigrey Date: April 25th, 2002 05:35 am (UTC) (Link)
Hee, I kind of already got asked this in sinnie's question, but I'm a network engineer for Motorola.

Your question: what's the first thing you do after you get out of bed in the morning?
