This on top of the fact that I had stopped at Target with the idea of replacing a pair of gloves as I have a tendency to lose about 5 gloves a winter -- one from each pair, of course, and found out that they're not selling gloves anymore. They're selling beachwear! What is the deal?
So, being tuckered out from this, I took a nap, and then later dragged myself out to Cost Plus World Market. Can I just say I love this store? I picked up some of those Torani syrups: a sugar-free raspberry one for me, and then two other bottles for two friends who wanted them. Of course the sugar-free raspberry turned out to be a regular raspberry, so I'll have to return that tomorrow. Those syrups are so great for the fake mochas I make in the morning!
I also checked out the wine section, which was advertised on the sale papers stuck to the door, and guess what? They had a couple bottles of [my last name]'s vineyards, for about $7 a bottle. I'd had some of this before, but it was the Zinfandel, and they only had the Merlot and something called a Malbec (do you know what that is?), so I had to buy them. I picked up another inexpensive Zinfandel as well (which is different from a white zin, if you didn't know).
And they had the Republic of Tea teas. I purchased the Rose Petal Tea, and Republic Red Chai. The rose petal is pretty good. However, most of their tea selection is in bags, and I have a lovely french press to use here, and prefer the loose tea; I need to find a good tea shop around here.
Then off to the other Costco, near the Cost Plus, as that was where my original purchase of Luna bars was. Alas, they too, were out. This did not stop me from spending money, and I barely fit all the goodies in the freezer. II bought these chicken/veggie pot stickers that zen_raven had bought when we were last there. Ooh, bad move, because they are good. At least I made my own pot sticker sauce.
And I have shrimp. I lurve shrimp. And if you make your own cocktail sauce, it's much better for you. Mmm.
Also picked up Tylenol and Sudafed -- 3 x 96 packets for like $4! I'm never going to use all those, but it's still cheaper than in the store for one pack.
Edit: Wow, I done picked a good one -- the reviewers really like my 'family' melbac, and say it's worth twice the price!
